The Process

It takes us little time working with the Top Team to develop your existing Business Plan into a very thorough, specific and organisationally realistic high level plan which can be cascaded down the organisation. If lower level teams need process support we can help them develop their plans or train internal coaches in the process. Quickly, clearly and graphically the process will enable you, and every team in your organisation to understand the connection between your Mission, Vision, and long term Objectives, and the all-important Results they are required to deliver in the current financial year. Teams will be able to prioritise and project manage the key Tasks which are vital to achieving targets.

This unique process enables everyone in the organization to see how they contribute to the overall results and what they and their colleagues need to do to be successful.

If you are using the principles of the Balanced Scorecard or Business Excellence model you will find this process not only clarifies how the whole plan fits together but it gives you a realtime performance management tool.

Clear, simple and explicit performance indicators are used to track progress to date and to project the year-end result. Task plan progress is summarised to highlight any problem areas or cross-functional critical dependencies.

The Technology

The BPSL Business Planning and Performance Management solution is available via a number of flexible alternatives. It requires no special downloads to client workstations, and is simply accessed using a pre determined URL. Each user is provided with a user name and password to update information.

Internally hosted intranet solution

If you have an intranet, and install a host server, you will be able to access the information through your current Web Browser. The system can be backed up using your existing backup software or, for an additional fee, the host server can be supplied with a backup tape. The server needs minimum management and requires technical expertise only to attach the server to the corporate network or provide hands on support should the server need restarting. The server runs on a Windows NT platform. Updates to the system, as and if required, can be provided via e-mail or CD for the technical team to simply implement.

Fully hosted web solution

For smaller companies, and those without an IT infrastructure, our hosting solution provides a low cost route to exploiting the software. This allows users access to a remote server based in our offices in Docklands next to the UK Internet backbone, and has a fully managed and secure environment. Backup is carried out daily.

Included in the cost is expert backup to help with the technical system and the performance management process. Access is available on line during normal working hours, or we can come to your offices at short notice

Process Facilitation

We can help you load up the initial system and create the reporting documents. We can show you how to facilitate 'time effective' management meetings using the software to review all your performance indicators and troubleshoot the problem areas.

A proven Systems Pedigree

The system has been developed in conjunction with Time Technology, a well established software development company specialising in GroupWare. Based in Godalming, the 25 plus dedicated team provides application and technical support for all their solutions and has been responsible for the implementation of many 100's of servers in client's offices as well as building their own server farm both in Godalming and in Docklands.

You should expect to recover your costs in the first year !
The process brings such a degree of focus and concentration on results that we see clients achieving outstanding returns. The actual cost can be as little as £20 per user per month. The installation and user package is dependent on volumes and on the amount of initial support you need in constructing your business plan. We will of course provide you with a detailed breakdown of costing options so that you only buy what you need when you need it. Low start up options are available for smaller installations.
